Esta vez la sorpresa la ha dado Sony Ericsson anunciando el lanzamiento para el segundo semestre de este año 2008, del primer dispositivo móvil de la casa en llevar Windows Mobile como sistema operativo. Hay que destacar como novedades de este flamante smartphone cuatribanda, bautizado con el nombre de Xperia X1, su enorme pantalla de 3'' con resolución 800x480, el soporte UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA, su cámara de 3.2 megapixels y características ya "comunes" como GPS, WLAN y Bluetooth.
